Who are the National Carpet Cleaners Association? Why are North Star members?
The NCCA were first established in 1968 and is the only UK trade association of its kind specifically for carpet and upholstery cleaning. The main objective of the association is to establish both the maintenance and high level service standards within our business with the aim to safeguard the reputation of the industry and to protect customers.  You can check to see if a company or individual is a bonafide member by visiting the website and carrying out a search on ncca.co.uk.  North Star’s licence number is 1068.

How did North Star become an Advanced Member of the NCCA?
North Star became an advanced member by obtaining over two years of membership with the NCCA, of which there is a requirement to undertake regular additional training course within the addition of eligibility into the TrustMark scheme (government endorsed).

Do we have insurance?
Of course, this goes without saying. We have Public Liability of £2,000,000 and Employers Liability of £10,000,000.

Do we move furniture prior to cleaning?
Yes we are more than happy to do this, however all we ask is that if you have any very heavy or breakable/fragile objects that these are removed by yourselves. 

Do you offer a free quotation?
Yes we offer a free non obligational written survey/quotation identifying any potential issues with your carpets or furnishings prior to cleaning.

How long will it take for my carpet to dry?
This really does depend on the level of soiling and pre staining evident, carpet type, ventilation present but usually anywhere between 2-4 hours. 

How often should I have my carpet cleaned?
The trade standard is advised every 12-18 months depending on living conditions/repeat soiling due to family size, pets, smokers etc.
